Tom Marshall

I spoke with Tom today, and it was fun catching up after so many years. He lives in Connecticut and all of his family is well, unfortunately Tom has some health challenges and so won't be able to join us in October. I know that he would enjoy hearing from those of you who knew and worked with him. His contact information is the following: mesard@optonline.net and his telephone is 203 222 9618

   Serge;
That is quite a lineup you have assembled. It reads like a dream team for private wealth management.
I don't think there is any organization presently that could stand up against this roster.
Wow! what a team Citi had once upon a time. The BEST EVER, by far.
Unfortunately, I will not be able to make the reunion. My backup responsibilities calls for me to be available during that time frame, as my partner will be on holiday the first two weeks of October.
Josh, I would love to have been able to attend though!
Please extend my very best to all who are fortunate enough to attend.
You have done a wonderful job getting all this organized. Congratulations!
I'm sure it will be a BIG success.
Please keep in touch.
Un abrazo. Rene

Email from Andria Thal Lass

Good morning Serge,

This is a message from Andria Thal, now Andria Thal Lass. I am so delighted to be on your mailing list, and to receive all the info, even though I cannot make the reunion, much to my regret.

I love in London, where I have been married for 25 years to Jonathan Lass, who was also with the bank for a few years in the '80's. He is a corporate lawyer in private practice now though. We have three kids: Alex (21), Greg (20) and Eliza (18.) I had my first child at 40 years old! I am retired from banking and law, but I am busy with all kinds of other things.

I think so fondly of our times at Citibank. We had the greatest group of colleagues, everyone so different, yet we all got along so well, on the whole, and we all felt involved in a common enterprise. We really felt like part of a team, and we cared about each other. Of course there were stressful times and disagreements, that's part of work and life, but they were less important than the bigger mission and our responsibility towards each other. It's  heart-breaking and astonishing to read what banking is like now, and to read how the ruthless, cynical culture and compensation practices led to the worldwide financial melt-down. I cannot believe what I read. And what Sandy Weill did to a great organization which perhaps was big, complex and powerful enough the way it was!

I would love to have your news, and hear about your recent life. I do wish I could attend the reunion. I will be there in spirit, believe me.

By the way, if anyone is compiling a directory, here are my details:
